INTRODUCTION:
Anachronox - three-dimensional computer role-playing game in thethird person, created by Tom Hall from studios Ion Storm. The gameengine is written in Quake II, which had made significant changes todisplay a wider color palette and the support of facial expression. Thegameplay was created under the influence of games such as ChronoTrigger, one of the favorite games of Tom Hall, although the characterdevelopment and equipment have been simplified in comparison with thegames of this kind, and the emphasis placed on the study of peace anddisclosure of story line. The player plays the role of Sylvester SlyBoots Butselli, a detective in the slums of the planet Anachronox. Recruited against their will, to explore themysteries associated with the nature of the universe, Sly travelsthroughout the galaxy, meeting many characters along the way, some ofwhich can be attached to the party of the player.

History was to be completed in a sequel, tentatively titledAnachronox Prime, but continued and not come to light. However, the gamenonetheless became a cult, largely because of its original storyline,but also thanks to the soundtrack. Jake Strider Hughes (cinematicdirector and producer of the game) collected in a single stage gamesmachinima movie that achieved many awards.
